A World Without Banks And Credit
I think of this sometimes, how great a world without banks and credit could be? Or, a world without finance?
With everything going on in the world right now? A fresh start does not sound like a bad idea right?
Just imagine, no bank to turn you down, no risks of losing your money from someone gambling it and no need for a credit score.
Finance is now a vast skimming machine for the few to enrich themselves at the expense of the many.
In other words, finance is nothing more than a parasitic system that has wormed its way into every nook and cranny of the economy.
Finance sells its “services” as hedges.
Finance creates no real-world goods or services; it is a structure of exploitation that is more like a criminal syndicate than a sector of the economy.
Finance is the primary engine of extreme wealth-income inequality.
When we look at numbers, finance now accounts for roughly 20% of the economy: nothing but churn.
Conclusion
Credit is not loaned from existing capital, but loaned into existence.
The powers that be have gained greatly from financialization. If you are a producer, you will be relatively wealthier.
It will be more profitable in the future to be a plumber than to be corporate HR, or some other middle management person.
