Rex 84 H.R. 645: What Is It Costing You. The COVID-19 virus has led to new challenges to public health, food systems and the world of work. The economic and social break caused by the virus is ruin.
Millions of businesses face an peril threat. Without the means to earn income during lockdowns, many are unable to feed themselves and their families. For most, no income means no food, or, at best, less food and less healthy food.
Border closures, trade limits and confinement measures have stop farmers from accessing markets, including buying inputs and selling their produce, and agricultural workers from gathering crops, thus cutting national and international food supply chains.
The story is simple: the virus is bad, and lockdowns are worse. We can now take a look at the harms of government involvement of COVID-19. During the COVID-19 crisis, human rights violations including censorship, discrimination, penalties and social fear were reported from different parts of the world.
How your freedom is at risk
The World Health Organization (WHO) said stay-at-home responses for slowing the virus must not be mandated at the expense of human rights. Lock down restrictions influenced the spark of freedom of assembly by imposing a limit of people that could meet at each gathering or banning any gathering.

The cost many will pay
Unemployment spiked to its highest rate in the post WWII era. The U.S. economy is mainly driven by consumer spending. When consumers spend, companies’ profit and the economy is good.
It seems clear that the labor market will be forever changed. Next, with so many working from home, some companies will continue this practice, thereby reducing demand on commercial real estate.
Finally, many companies have closed forever, leaving employees to find other jobs. These restrictions have affected banks as well, with widespread branch closures and opening hours shortened in an effort to curb the spread of the virus.
With greater limits in movement being present, access to one’s funds– at least digitally – becomes crucial. The global economy is worst since the Great Depression of the 1930s.
With unemployment figures expected to surge and the virus hit many households, borrowing from the informal support network of family and friends is less likely possible.
The coronavirus has destroyed the job market in every state. With that being said, many are experiencing job loss, inflation at grocery stores, lumber prices increasing, silver shortages, lockdowns, civil unrest just to name a few are the “cost” many are paying in some form or fashion.
